Chiropractic Care for Your Body

The doctors will examine your spinal column for misalignments (called vertebral subluxations) causing the spine and nerves stress. Vertebral subluxations can damage the nervous system and affect the workings of the entire body. If subluxations are present, The doctors will correct them with a chiropractic spinal adjustment in order to release the spinal stress.
Without subluxations the body will function better, have higher resistance to disease and express more wholeness (health) than a body with uncorrected subluxations.
That is the essential message of chiropractic care.

Children

Dr. Wilson has a passion for children’s health and offers free well-baby spinal examinations. Dr. Wilson has also taken extensive training in pediatric adjusting with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Pregnancy

Chiropractic care during pregnancy? ABSOLUTELY!! Keeping your spine free from the vertebral subluxation, which causes nerve interference, is one of the best things you can do if you are pregnant. If there’s one group of people who needs chiropractic spinal check-ups more than any other, it’s pregnant women.

Full Spine Technique

Full Spine (or may be referred to as Diversified Technique) is the traditional chiropractic technique using HVLA manipulation, which many patients who have been adjusted in the past may be familiar with. The focus of this technique is on restoration of normal bio-mechanical function, and correction of subluxation.

Thompson Technique

The Thompson Technique uses a drop table to assist with the adjustment and provides for gentle and effective adjustments.  This technique involves analyzing the length of the legs to determine the origin of the imbalance.

Activator Technique

Our office utilizes the Activator which involves the use of a hand-held instrument to make the adjustment.  It is very gentle and no “popping” noise can be heard. The doctor uses different protocols to detect spinal joint dysfunction, analyze leg length, detect body mechanics issues, and test reflexes. This technique along with the Thompson Technique are often used with children and seniors due to its gentleness.

Adjusting Techniques

In our office, the comfort of our patients is a top priority.  We utilize several different adjusting techniques to compliment the individual needs of our patients.  If you have any questions or concerns, all you need to do is ask the doctors.
